Warehouses have quickly adapted to the pre covid world.
Warehouses are organizing shifts so that employees only work with the same group of co workers. This strategy allows for less of a chance for transmission of the virus to a larger group of employees. This strategy also allows easier quaratine if an outbreak occurs as it can be isolated to a certain shift and group of workers.
Another thing warehouses have implemented are temperature checks of employees arriving to work. The CDC considers a person to have a fever when he or she has a measured temperature of at least 100.4F 38C
An advantage a warehouse can give is space, so implementation of social distancing in the warehouse is a doable thing. Warehouses have set rules for employees to remain socially distanced by at least 3 meters. Along with social distancing mask and face shield policies are being used in warehouses.
New training is being done so that new and existing employees understand the importance of following new health and safety protocols. Warehouses are training employees on the risks associated with the virus and the damage an outbreak can have on everyone.
