When we talk about floor loaded containers we are talking about containers that have been loaded without the use of pallets and palletized goods.
Instead of palletizing the goods for transportation the goods are instead loaded directly into the container “on the floor”
Why use Floor Loaded loads?
Floor loading goods allows for full utilization of the space within the intermodal container. Where palletized goods loose space due to pallets and pallet spacing, floor loaded goods do not face this issue and can be loaded using the containers full volume and space.
