An ELD is a physical piece of hardware that connects to a truck’s engine control module (ECM). ELD’s can track and log: Vehicle GPS tracking,  record and store dash cam video,  IFTA fuel tax reporting, vehicle utilization, vehicle inspection reports and logs, vehicle diagnostics for trouble codes (DTC), messaging between drivers and dispatch, and more.
